Tape Extensions – Hairpieces to Stick

The advantage of tape hairpieces is that they are simply stuck to your natural hair. In the so-called sandwich method, a hairpiece is stuck to a section of your natural hair. Tape extensions can typically be worn for 6 to 8 weeks, after which they need to be repositioned or the adhesive replaced. Tape extensions are particularly popular with clients who have fine hair, as they add a lot of volume and fullness, while also being very flat and barely noticeable.

Does the adhesive tape hold?

An important aspect of tape extensions is the durability of the adhesive, as otherwise, the entire weave could slip out, leading to noticeable gaps. Of course, an adhesive connection is not as durable as a bonding applied with heat. During the wearing period, it’s important to avoid applying oil- or alcohol-based products to the adhesive area. Excessive heat from blow dryers or flat irons can also loosen the adhesive.

Tip: After applying, briefly warm the adhesive area with a flat iron, press it firmly, and let it cool completely. We recommend not washing your hair for 48 hours afterward to allow the adhesive to set properly.
